We would like to inform members that PGA Teaching Professional, Rod Hume, will not be available to conduct golf lessons for the foreseeable future. Those that know Rod well will understand that Rod has been working through an ongoing ankle injury for most of his adult life, which unfortunately has now deteriorated to the point where he requires major surgery.
As a result, Rod will be taking a leave of absence from coaching for approximately 9 months, with 4 months of no weight-bearing and 5 months of rehabilitation. During this time, all current lessons and lesson packages with Rod will be honoured by our three current Indooroopilly PGA Teaching Professionals: Brad Nienaber, Craig Parker and Richard Harris.
We understand that Rod’s absence may impact your golfing experience, but we assure you that our teaching professionals are ready to continue providing the excellent instruction and guidance you have received from Rod.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend our best wishes to Rod as he undergoes his operation and begins his rehabilitation.
We hope for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery so that we may see him back in full health soon.
If you have any questions or need to book any golf lessons during this time, please feel free to contact the Golf Shop.
The IGC Golf Operations Team will be more than happy to assist you and connect you with our teaching professionals.
Best regards,
Richard Harris
