Whilst practicing at IGC on Monday afternoon, Junior Issy Simpson had a chance meeting with her idol, World Golf Hall of Fame Member and IGC Icon Member Karrie Webb.
Karrie was very interested in Issy’s progress to date, especially her 8 under on the East Course. Karrie passed on many valuable words of wisdom and Issy had a just few questions herself.
Issy is moving to the USA in 2019 to start a golf scholarship and Karrie has offered to keep in touch. What a mentor.
It was great to see Karrie out at Indro and we thank her for her valuable time as she jetted back to the USA the next morning. Read More »

The IGC v RQ Challenge was held on Monday 22 October.
52 ladies played in a spirit of camaraderie and good will – all in the name of golf. The weather held off and the course was magnificent in its beauty especially after the rains.
IGC won the challenge 308 v 299 on our home course. The overall winners were Jackie Knowlman and Sue-Ellen Hopkins with 48 pts; Judith Theodoridis and Helen Bourgoure (RQ) with 46 pts c/b.

The golf course has responded well to the recent rainfall with the fairways and greens looking and playing great.
As a result we have been able to remove the long standing local rule for relief from aeration holes on the fairways. This rule is no longer in place.

Please be advised that the reciprocal course and clubhouse access at The Lakes Golf Club will not be available from Friday 12th October through to Sunday 25th November.
